Here are 7 simple ways that you can boost your confidence immediately:
1. React appropriately
Having your emotions in check excudes confidence. You have to react appropriately.
That means staying calm as much as possible. Staying calm, especially in stressful situations or challenging seasons of your life gives you power and builds your confidence.
2. Stop comparing
People filter their lives and you will never meet that expectation, because it doesn’t exist!
It’s ok to be whoever you are right now.
Being confident is accepting who you are right now, knowing where you want to go, knowing who you want to be, and taking little steps towards bettering your life to get there.
3. Compliment others
People love getting compliments, but it feels even better to give out compliments to others.
Be friendly, appropriate, and sincere when giving compliments to others and they will naturally like you more, which increases your confidence.
4. Move your body
My most stressful days are the days when I don’t move my body and eat unhealthy foods.
You need to do something active every single day.
Besides the obvious healthy body benefits, working out or a simple walk will help reduce your cortisol, the stress chemical in the brain, and make you feel more calm and confident aftwards.
5. Fake it ’til you make it
Literally just telling yourself you are a confident person can increase your confidence.
Own it, Beleive it.
Recite mantras in the mirror if you have to, but simply identifying as a confident person can help you become more confident.
6. Be self-aware
Sorry to burst your ego bubble, but you’re just not that big of a deal. And that’s a good thing!
The moment you let go of your inflated ego is the moment you free yourself from being the “hero” – and the pressure falls away, allowing you to be calm.
7. Believe in yourself
Being confident is not about being the best dressed in the room, or the most likeable person.
It’s about knowing that no matter what happens, at least socially, that you’re going to bounce back and everything is going to be ok.
This gives you the strength to tell the truth, to avoid lying to impress other people, and to be your true, confident self.
